Three rooms, three stages
Each space is purpose-built for the age group in it, with its own outdoor area.

Cuddle Cubs
Belonging Begins with Loving Care
The Cuddle Cubs room runs on your child’s routine. We follow the sleep and feed patterns you use at home, and we write them down so nothing gets lost between educators.
You get photos, sleeps, bottles and nappy changes in the OWNA app as they happen.
- Individual sleep & feed routines
- Separate cot room
- Own secure outdoor area
- Nappies, wipes and formula prep included
The foundation of love and security
In the early years, building trust and a sense of security really sets the stage for healthy development. Our team is dedicated to providing consistent and attentive care, so every infant forms positive and secure attachments. Babies begin their learning journey with educators who adapt routines, plan experiences, and create a safe social environment where every child feels valued.
Steps to Shine uses Circle of Security principles here, to focus on what matters most in these early years: building emotional security, identity, and confidence.
- Responsive cuddles
- Sensory discovery
- Agency and choice
- Movement and strength
- Gentle socialising
- Creative expression
- Language immersion
- Safe and calm sleep time
Feeding support
We offer a comfortable and private nursing space for parents, available at any time. All breast milk is handled and stored safely, following guidelines set by the Australian Breastfeeding Association. To keep you connected, all feeds and routines are recorded in the OWNA app each day.

Tiny Tigers
Being Curious, Growing Through Play
This is the year independence arrives. Toddlers start feeding themselves, pulling on their own shoes, and usually begin toilet learning. We follow your lead on timing rather than imposing ours.
It is also the year of first real friendships, and first real conflict. Sharing, waiting and negotiating are taught here explicitly, because they do not come naturally to anyone at two.
- Self-help skills and toilet learning
- Language explosion supported daily
- Small group experiences
- Messy play, sand and water
The child as the protagonist
In the Tiny Tigers room, Steps to Shine affirms that the child is the protagonist of their own development. Our educators facilitate that journey using the Abecedarian Approach for intentional language building, coupled with the philosophies of Montessori and Reggio Emilia. We prioritise agency and choice, fostering a strong self-identity.
The curriculum deliberately scaffolds a toddler's drive for autonomy and self-regulation. Tiny Tigers is where play becomes purpose: the joy of adventure merged with the intentional goal of skill mastery, securing independence, emotional regulation, and cognitive foundations.
- Montessori practical life
- Reggio Emilia environment
- Communication power
- Learning about the world
- Physical dexterity
- Emotional regulation and self-identity
- Gross motor and resilience

Jungle Explorers
Becoming Confident, Capable, Lifelong Learners
Our preschool room, and the one where school readiness happens. Eligible three and four year olds access NSW Start Strong funding, which can significantly reduce or remove your fees for preschool days.
The program builds the things that actually matter in a classroom: attempting before asking, joining in, waiting a turn, and telling an adult what you need. Literacy and numeracy are woven into play rather than drilled.
- Start Strong funded preschool program
- School readiness focus
- Early literacy and numeracy
- Incursions and excursions included
- Transition-to-school support
Every moment is intentional for school readiness
We are often asked what makes our school readiness program different. Preparation for primary school goes far beyond basic letters and numbers, and Jungle Explorers benefits from a full-day program, delivered by our Early Childhood Teachers, that builds real skills.
We see school readiness as a genuine partnership between children, families, and educators: nurturing each child's individuality, celebrating their achievements, and guiding them toward a confident start to school and beyond.

Spaces built for how children actually play
Every room is purpose-built for the age group in it, with its own outdoor area. Natural materials, low shelving children can reach themselves, and quiet corners for when the day gets loud.
CCTV throughout and coded entry, so the only people who come and go are the ones who should. Our centre is Munch & Move approved, and we work with speech pathologists and the NSW Inclusion Agency to support children with additional needs.
